Vaccines and autism: Collected links

At the breakfast table this morning this subject came up, so I decided to put together this collection. It did not take long:

This is not an academic issue for me and mia_mcdavid.

Also, I have a big personal issue with the idea that anecdotes and media fluff are the same as real science: Back in the ’90’s somebody who followed that stuff once suggested that I had abused my children.

This is late, partly because of the sheer volume of the work, and partly because of
family developments that have taken
a lot of time.

Wes was sick two weeks ago, so his class did not meet. I stayed home. This was really a mistake, because
some of my classmates did turn up and joined Will’s class for
the evening. There they started reading a Sean
Mac Mathúna Story
. Will has split the story into four parts, and the combined class worked through the
first part that evening. My classmates like it so that they wanted to come back for the rest of the story, so
I have to catch-up. It is worth it.

Paradigms Lost

Private weekend

Except this morning at church, the only significant human interactions I had this weekend were with my family. However, there were plenty of those. It was good.

I did a lot of decluttering over the weekend. I took 10 grocery bags of books to Goodwill this afternoon. Tonight we had 7 grocery bags filled with recycling beyond what fit in the official city recycling basket. Usually we have one or two.

We have finally unpacked from last weekend with colgaffneyis at Big Island. We are mostly recovered from the installation of the new windows in the house. We had to get everything out of the way on the inside so the installer could do their inside work. I have put things back together in our bedroom, my desk area in the basement, and the adjacent shelves by the fireplace.
