Software upgrades
Later Saturday
Later in the afternoon I did some shopping while mia_mcdavid took a nap. I then made one of the changes to the post drill that I had thought of last night. Then a shower, and off to work. Fortunately, that just meant a trip to the basement, where, with a cable modem and VPN, it is almost like going downtown.

I took another look at that list of projects that I mentioned earlier today. I have finished 11 out of 14. Of course, I can think of a few additions….

Linux as Gaeilge — a second look, with some thoughts about keyboards
As I suspected, I could not let go of this. I did some more research on the subject of my
previous post about this. Then I made a slightly different change to the keyboard section of /etc/X11/xorg.conf:

Getting fadas (acute accents in Irish) on my Linux systems proved to be simpler than I thought. I altered the keyboard section of /etc/X11/xorg.conf to look like code behind cut
My weekend here
mia_mcdavid is in Michigan for the weekend and the first couple days of next week. Her aunt died after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. She has posted about it, most recently here.
I cleaned off my workbench this morning, and am trying to make some progress on at least some of my unfinished projects. Quite a list
