Quiet Weekend
The big accomplishment was getting to the Health Club twice, after being away for longer than I care to think about. Managed 1/2 hour on the exercise bike both times, followed by some weight work.
Also spent some time at Kinko’s, photocopying parts of a couple books I had obtained by Interlibrary Loan, of possible interest to members of colgaffneyis. Continue reading
Saturday
This morning I went to a workshop on conversational Irish. I was in the session for absolute beginners, for which I certainly qualify. The workshop was put on by Gaeltacht Minnesota, the local Irish language organization. It was very interesting and extremely well done. I hope to learn more Irish in the coming year, although scheduling constraints are going to limit me at least for a while.
I had thought about working on some projects after getting home, but after lunch I found the call of a nap to be irresistable. Got up about 4:30, after which James and I went to a pleasant supper at Church. We browsed at the local Barnes & Noble after that, then went home.
Sunday Morning
We had a good morning in church–2nd week in a row. Because of Tom’s issues going to church is always an interesting (as in Chinese curse) event. Our church has always been very accepting of Tom and his problems. It is far from perfect, but that one factor goes a long way for me.
