Today, in the traditional Church calendar, is the Feast of St. Nicholas. I might have completely forgotten about it, but
I did do some shopping today, but managed to dodge all the mall traffic. One of my errands was to buy a few groceries for a pasta dish with (obviously) leftover turkey. Like last year I heard this song on the radio, this time just before going into Cub Foods. The family is safe: As before, I don’t think I will draw any inspiration for tonight’s dinner from it.
Tonight was the first choir rehearsal of the Fall at St. Mary’s. It was great. I had forgotten how good it felt to be part of the choir.
mia_mcdavid is upstairs taking a nap. I am back in the music room, listening to 3 Pints Gone, with a Guinness in front of me :-)>
mia_mcdavid is in Michigan for the weekend and the first couple days of next week. Her aunt died after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. She has posted about it, most recently here.
I cleaned off my workbench this morning, and am trying to make some progress on at least some of my unfinished projects. Quite a list

The opening hymn today in church was St. Patrick’s Breastplace. The English translation and the current tune are quite modern, but the Gaelic words were ancient in colgaffneyis time, originally in Old Irish. Continue reading
