mia_mcdavid and I are at Convergence, the biggest of the local science fiction conventions. We are having a good time. The programming seems more interesting (for me, anyway) than in some previous years.

I first learned about science fiction fandom in the spring of 1968, more than 40 years ago. I attended my first convention a year later. So I have been a part of fandom, and vice versa, for more than 2/3 of my life.

Off to Convergence
…. the biggest local science-fiction convention. mia_mcdavid and our son J are already there. It is the tenth anniversary for this con, so they are extending it for an extra day. Hence we will be returning home on Sunday. The holiday helps.
