Stories like this are depressingly common these days, but it is quite another thing to hear about how they hit people you know and like.

I am still suffering from the cold I referred to last last week. Over the weekend I thought I was getting better, but things were much worse on Monday. I missed Irish class that night and choir on Wednesday, though I did get to colgaffneyisdance on Tuesday. I have an appointment at our clinic tomorrow afternoon. This has gone on long enough.
mia_mcdavid is in Chicagoland for the weekend. She is staying tonight with a friend from her old job at First Chicago. Tomorrow she will go downtown and meet up with her mother for the weekend.
One thing that find frustrating about colgaffneyis is that members seem quite happy to repeat generalities about the past (sometimes quite implausible) without checking the historical facts. I have a pretty good BS detector, and it frequently goes off in our camp. Here is a draft of the latest result of this. I will be publishing it in colgaffneyis newsletter. Whether anyone will read it and pay attention is uncertain. However, I have already started work on debunking another Clann myth.
