Slept until 11:30 this morning. I can’t remember the last time I did that.

mia_mcdavid went out for a while in the early afternoon. We

1. Went to the Post Office in SE Minneapolis. colgaffneyis has a PO box there, and one of my responsibilities as its Secretary is to check for mail there. As usual, there as nothing significant.
2. Drove to the SR Harris fabric store in the NW suburbs. We found some nice wool there and a cowhide for $50, all of which will be used to enhance our attire for colgaffneyis.
3. Back to Roseville, where we shopped at the Cellars (one of the better Metro liquor stores). We are hosting the final course of colgaffneyis progressive dinner on New Year’s Day and needed to stock up.
4. Finally we went to Byerly’s (upscale grocery store) in the same complex. More party supplies, both for Monday and Tom’s birthday this evening.

That event is going well, although as mia_mcdavid wrote, Tom was too excited to eat much of his dinner. However, he liked his presents and is having a good time playing part of one his old videos over and over again. This is not as bad as it sounds: When he was living with us he did it almost every day. Now we only have to deal with it once a week, more or less.
