A nice convenience

I discovered that the Minneapolis Red Cross has wi-fi access. So when I went there this afternoon for apheresis (platelet donation) I was able to get to the web using my Nokia 770. Apheresis means being immobilized and unable to move one arm for two hours, so it is nice to have another option for passing the time.

Carleton Reunion Planning (Part 1)

I spent most of the weekend at Carleton College, in Northfield, MN. I graduated from Carleton in 1972 and next year my class will be having its 35-year reunion. I had been conscripted volunteered to serve on the Class Committee. I probably would have done this in any case, but since the head had done me a big favor back in June, I was definitely on the team.
