[Missed class, but I did write a story as assigned.]

Bróg ar strae

Bhí sé lá báistí i bhfómhar na bliana. Bhí mé amuigh ag siúl agus bhí mo bhróga an-fhliuch.
Nuair a bhain mé abhaile amach, bhain mé díobh.

Bhí an chéad lá eile grianmhar, ach bhí mo bhróga fós fliuch. Thug mé amach iad siar
go dtí triomaigh faoi na gréine. Chuir mé ar eile péire bróg and rinne mé dearmad faoi chéad péire

Míonna ina dhiaidh sin: Tháinig an Gheimhridh. Bhí sneachta go leor amuigh. Ba cuimhin liom ar an chéad
péire bróga. Chuaigh mé amach siar. Chonaic mé an barr bróg amháin agus Thóg mé é amach as an sneachta.
Cá raibh an bróg eile? Fuair mé sluasaid agus thosaigh ag obair. Ach bhí sneachta an iomarca.
Ní raibh mé fháil ar an bróg. Feicfidh mé an bróg earrach seo, nuair a bhíonn an sneachta imithe.

It was a rainy day in autumn. I was out walking and my shoes were very wet. When I got home, I
took them off.

The next day was sunny, but my shoes were still wet. I took them outside to dry in the sun.
I put on the another pair of shoes and forgot about the first pair.

Months later: Winter had come. There was much snow outside. I remembered the first pair of shoes.
I went out back. I saw the top of one shoe and lifted it out of the snow. Where was the other shoe?
I got a shovel and started working. But there was too much show. I did not find the shoe. I will
see the shoe this spring, when the snow is gone.
