When I wrote about that old router I had acquired I suggested it might date from the ’70’s. In fact, it dates from 1963: I found the manual at the Old Woodworking Machines site.
This made me curious about an old drill that dates from my childhood:
It still works. The old-timers at our local hardware store were impressed when I brought it in to get a chuck key. Sadly, the little red plate on top with the model information is badly worn. I can see it was made by Black & Decker, but I cannot make out anything more.
