The day has been going well, as it should on a respite weekend. We got to bed early last night, so we managed a good night’s sleep and still got up with most of the morning ahead of us. mia_mcdavid went out to visit some friends, while I went over to the health club for a workout. I then went home, showered, and then had a late breakfast.

I rejoined Mia at the quarterly business meeting of colgaffneyis. That went well and quite quickly. Our President is very good at running meetings, but today everybody else was doing their parts as well. It helped that there were no votes and no controversies to argue about. The most involved discussion was about scheduling the monthly pub nights. twolodge said some very nice things about what James and I were doing in the sword guild.

Afterwards I ran a couple errands, then did a little reading in preparation for another colgaffneyis meeting, this time a smaller committee function. I also studied Irish for a bit, and then Mia and I took James out to a local restaurant, from which we have just returned.
