Heavy snow this weekend in the Twin Cities. We spent most of the day at home, trimming the Christmas tree and doing other things around the house. We went out on one trip in the early afternoon. Driving was slow but not actively scary. James and I shoveled the driveway after we got home. We will have to shovel again in the morning, both because of additional accumulation and because the city’s snowplows, when they efficiently clear the street, will leave a ridge of hard packed snow at the bottom of the driveway. That’s life in Minnesota.
I would like to get to church in the morning (it will be the last Sunday of Advent) but that seems unlikely. We should be able to make it to the afternoon service and feast. In any case, I can listen to the podcast of the morning’s sermon. In addition to the three previous Sundays, I made it to church every day at work last week, so I feel I have made some effort to keep Advent. I am not going to get hung up about this.
