It was a lovely, relaxed weekend. I have not had many of those lately, and it looks like they are going to be in short supply for at least the next couple months. It was so relaxed that I completely forgot I had to edit, print, and mail the hard copy edition of colgaffneyis Newsletter. I remembered that around 8PM last night.

I got into work extra early this morning. Nothing terribly urgent, so I got a lot of editing done then. One key article just did not exist in entirety–just fragments. A couple e-mail exchanges with mia_mcdavid and we had some reasonably coherent text. I finished the edits and printed a master copy over lunch hour. I also got the mailing envelopes addressed.

After I got home this evening I went to Kinko’s and printed the copies I needed, and stuffed the envelopes immediately. The post office was closed, but Byerly’s (local upscale grocery store) has a post office outlet at its customer service desk. I went there, got the stuffed envelopes weighed and paid for postage and mailing. Done! I rewarded myself by cruising the store for food samples, which this evening included dry-aged steak. Yum!
