This evening St. Mary’s is having a Service of Lessons and Carols, followed by a festive dinner. Yesterday I was at the church all morning helping to decorate and move furniture.

Mia stayed home this morning, but I came in for the service. I did not want to miss an Advent Service, and I wanted to satisfy my curiosity about a bit of liturgical trivia: No, St. Mary’s does not use rose vestments for Advent 3 (and presumably not for Lent 4).

After the service I stayed around to help cook dinner. This was a superbly organized and managed effort.

Mia got here about 2 and has been rehearsing with the choir. More later–the service is about to start.
