Did a serious bike after getting home from work last night. I went a few miles north into Shoreview, crossing I-694 at Victoria, then west through Snail Lake Park. Very pleasant–first time I had been to that park. Then found an overpass back across I-694, and went south on Rice to head home.
Back home I did a little of my (as opposed to my employer’s) computer work. Added more memory to two computers, and larger hard disk to one. Not sure if I am going to make it dual boot or pure Linux.
This morning I started on a long overdue home repair, and completed the most difficult part. It’s still ugly, but a lot better than it was. It will be better after another coat (or two) of spackle, but that will have to wait until the first coat dries.
Also did a lot of shop work. Cleaned my.workbench, then promptly cluttered it up again. Repaired a broken stool, and made some repairs/enhancements on my portable shaving horse. Also cleared most of the junk from my full size shaving horse so I use it again.
Another bike ride in the afternoon. Over an hour, into Vadnais Heights to the northeast. Afterwards went shopping with . I was hungry, and we bought more than we really needed, but I did choose stuff that keeps.
After we got home and showered, Mia made one her Chicago-style pizzas for dinner. It is hard to find these in Minnesota, so not long after we moved here she started making it herself. Delicious.
Watching Good Eats now, while Mia combs wool and I am writing this on my Nokia 770.
