I am referring, of course, to Irish Books and Media, on Franklin Ave. in Minneapolis. They are having a 50% off sale now. I bought several books from them over lunch. The price break was nice, but I am sorry to see them go. It sounds like the usual depressing story: Publishers tighten the screws, forcing out the small independents and leaving us in chains.
