A couple weeks ago I decided I really should finish a project that had been sitting on my shelves for months–sewing a pair of cloth hose to wear at colgaffneyis events. I had cut the fabric out and neatly stacked it on a shelf–and then managed to lose the pattern and instructions, As mia_mcdavid has said on similar occasions, the house ate it. I did not know how to put it all together. After hours of searching I broke down and ordered another copy from kass_rants. Just as well: The instructions are clear, but not something I could have guessed. I was able to sew them together tonight. I am not quite finished, but I am far enough along to try them on and know they will work.

mia_mcdavid is in Michigan for the weekend, for her niece’s wedding. I am staying home. I was away the last two weekends for colgaffneyis events and will be away the next two for other things. All very worthwhile, but I desperately need some time to stay behind and enjoy my own house.
