A stay-at-home day–I don’t think either car left the garage–but rather busy. The weaver’s bench for mia_mcdavid is nearly done. It is completely assembled–just needs sanding and finishing.
I have also been working on mia_mcdavid‘s computer. Something happened there and Firefox and Thunderbird no longer work. Was it a virus–a mozillaphage? Anyway, I reinstalled Windows 98 (this is an old computer) there, but could not get it to work properly. I also repartitioned the hard disks to allow for a couple Linux partitions–I expect to install that OS in the next couple days. I had a similar problem on the computer I am using now. I could install Windows 98 but could not get it to connect to the Internet. Hence I am using Linux at this minute. Lately I have consistently found Linux to be easier to install and configure than Windows, at least if you have to start from scratch.
Tools–I have computers less than a decade old that are ready for recycling. Yet while working on mia_mcdavid‘s bench I used a Bedrock plane and a Bell brace, both of which are eligible to join AARP, but are still first rate and perfectly usable examples of their types. Something to think about.
