After that scramble yesterday at work to prepare for tomorrow’s server move I have nothing to do there. Everything has to wait until tomorrow. So I have today to myself, except for such household chores as need doing.

Last night J and I went to colgaffneyis Night at the Pub at its new location, Merlin’s Rest. The atmosphere is much better than the previous establishment. The menu is somewhat more limited, but the food is better. With mia_mcdavid in Ireland, I naturally drank Guinness. To my considerable amusement I was carded! c_nocturnum and her husband were present when we got there, and three others joined us.

I am doing some woodworking and computer projects (personal–not work) today, but it is much too nice to stay in doors. I rode my bike to a park in St. Paul for colgaffneyis drill. rhymeswithghoti and two other veteran members were present. We rehearsed for a ceremony that we will be doing at Big Island in two weeks. The years pass: rhymeswithghoti was wearing a Macalester class of 2008 T-Shirt, while I was wearing one from my Carleton class–1972. However, it does not feel quite so bad after a 20 mile bicycle ride.
