Several of us got together this evening to unload the trailer, and get all the gear neatly stowed in the garage. mia_mcdavid and I arrived first, and were able to get started. twolodge showed up before too long, and botanicavix and two other members soon arrived. So the work went quickly and cheerfully. Another member managed cleverly to show up just as we were finishing, but mia_mcdavid was ready and had a responsibility ready to hand off to her :-)>

twolodge and I were the only men present. Not complaining (not at all!), but it does make me wonder about the direction that colgaffneyis is going. We have some women in the group who are willing and able to play the role of a soldier, but they were not represented tonight. So I have to wonder again about the viability of Clann Tartan portraying colgaffneyis–a 17^th century military unit. Perhaps we are unconsciously moving to a less military role.

I am not objecting to this, either personally or in my official capacity as a member of the Board of Directors. As far as the latter is concerned, I believe the organization is whatever the members want it to be, and it is the members who actually show up that count.
