I cleaned out the trunk of my car (we have two cars, but if we are using both of them, I am usually driving the ’92 Prizm) this morning. Long overdue….
After this I found a toolbox that mia_mcdavid had given me many years ago. It had just been sitting on the floor of my shop. So I packed it up with a reasonable selection (I hope) of woodworking and general purpose tools. These are all spares, so this toolbox can now live in the Prizm’s trunk,
Some of those tools had been in my Roy Underhill tool tote, which I am restocking to be more period correct for colgaffneyis. In the course of all this I did some cleanup of my workbench.
I also worked some more on my lamellar armor vest, and tied a pole to our back porch for our hops plant to climb. The way it is growing this year seems like a sign that I need to do more brewing.
In the late afternoon we took Gen (Mia’s mother) to the airport, then went to a housewarming party at the new home of Clann’s Tinker and his wife. I contributed several bottles of my homebrewed ginger mead, which I know he likes. He gave me an enormous 2-speed breast drill, similar to one of these (I have not yet been able to read the model number), for which I am very grateful. I started cleaning and maintaining it tonight; I still have more to do, but it is usable already.
