Night before the Fair

We are all set up. Not quite as easy as my earlier post had suggested. We had to rotate the Cook’s Fly 90o–having it face west with a westerly wind might have had spectacularly messy consequences. Also, I had to finish digging the fire pit. The ground is tough and that was hard work.

I had brought along some of my woodworking tools. The brace and bit came in handy to finish preparing a ridge pole for one of the trooper tents.

The last hour has been very pleasant. A good dinner and relaxing with friends, outside in perfect weather. But the week is catching up to me. Bedtime soon.
