Picked him up at the group home yesterday about 10:30 to go to Church. He was really unhappy that is was me, and that mia_mcdavid was not there. I had hoped we were passed this phase. I understand the situation, but the rejection is still painful.

However, he did reluctantly get into my car. He was glad to see Mia when we got to Church, but he was more clingy and difficult, and less cheery, than on previous visits. We brought him to our home for a spaghetti lunch afterwards, and that went fine. Perhaps hunger was an issue.

After lunch we took him to Schuler shoes in Har Mar mall–he needed new shoes. This is where we have gone before with him, and we were not disappointed this time. The salesperson instantly understood what Tom was like and did very well with him, so buying the shoes went as well as we could expect.

Afterwords Mia took him back to his group home. She had a colgaffneyis meeting in South Minneapolis, so that made geographical sense.
