As mia_mcdavid has written, we helped out at the Powderhorn Park Halloween events in South Minneapolis. We also managed to fit in a nice dinner at a Tapas bar beforehand.

Wednesday night we stayed home, skipping colgaffneyis dance practise–the previous evening had been quite tiring. Last night rillaspins came over for dinner, and to work on spinning and carding with mia_mcdavid.

At the job I have been working on some useful and important projects, notably the County’s election reporting system. We really want to be ready for next Tuesday. I am not detecting any partisan around this project, although I know there are differing political opinions on the team. It does not hurt that the Project Manager, who is in the political minority, is an attractive and extraordinarily charming woman.

Meanwhile, I am supporting another election, for colgaffneyis Staff at the membership meeting tomorrow. There seems to be a lot of interest. mia_mcdavid is running unopposed for Chief of Staff, but there are two candidates for Captain. So far I have received 7 or 8 absentee ballots. The last two times I did this there were only 2 or 3.
