mia_mcdavid is in Mankato, camping with colgaffneyis for the Historyfest there. She drove the rental truck with colgaffneyis corporate gear down there–after last Sunday’s accident we do not have a trailer. On Sunday she will drive the truck from there to Winona to set for the next show, the Big Muddy Rendezvous. She will camp there for a week.

Meanwhile James and I are here in the Twin Cities. Next Wednesday night, or more likely Thursday morning, we will drive to Winona to join her. I may drive down to Mankato this Sunday to help with the packing, but that is not certain. If I do not, that will mean Mia and I will not see each other for seven or eight days. This has not happened since 1983, when my employer sent me to England to bail out a software project and Mia came over two weeks later. It will be very strange.
