…. the Minnesota Scottish Fair and Highland Games. Definitely a low-key event for colgaffneyis. The parade (under full sun) and one dance demo (under a pavilion) were the only special events. We did get quite a few visitors to the camp, and that kept some of us busy “interpreting”–explaining who were are, what we were doing, and what all the stuff was for. However, we had enough members present to spread the work around, so nobody was seriously hurt by the heat. We all looked out for each other, in particular making sure everybody drank lots of water.

As she wrote earlier, mia_mcdavid is off on a road trip to Chicagoland and western Michigan. She will be back on Saturday. She is taking the car with the good air conditioning system. Just as well I don’t have any strong needs or desires that would call for a lot of driving. It is hot again today.
