Today I finished my monthly progress report, and discussed it with my boss. No problems. Quite the contrary. I have a lot going on at work, as well as all the stuff at home that mia_mcdavid wrote about. So far I think I am managing everything OK, but I frequently feel like my head is spinning.
Tomorrow Tom moves to the group home in Minneapolis. This is the biggest change in our lives in nearly eight years. It also means we will be relieved of the biggest burden in our lives–taking care of Tom. Furthermore, we now have some assurance about what has been my greatest worry for well over a decade: Who will take care of Tom when we are no longer around or able to do so.
Positive changes–definitely. But they are so big and world-altering that it is more than a little bit scary. It will take some getting used to. Right now I am too busy to think about it.
