Cabinet Scraper

I made a cabinet scraper a while back, simply cutting a more-or-less rectangular piece of steel from the blade of an old saw. I made a holder for it as well, not nearly as nice as Lee Valley’s, but much cheaper. The result:

A couple days ago I unearthed it and finally got around to preparing it according to standard methods. Of course, I could not feel the burr that was supposed to be there. However, that may be just an issue with my fingers. When I tried it out I did get the nice wispy shavings I was supposed to. So I have another useful tool, acquired at minimal cost.
