Web Site Move

I moved all of my web pages to my Comcast account today. With other things going on I can now close my other ISP account. I rather regret that: Winternet worked well for me, and I really liked having Unix shell access there. However, I am also moving another web site off of Winternet, and really cannot justify the cost of a 2nd ISP without some special reason.

The process was rather tedious. Some of the web pages had been around for years, and I had way too many hard coded references to the home page. grep was my friend (a true friend will give you bad news), so I could find them all. Unfortunately, I was not sufficiently consistent to simply use sed to fix them. Having done it this time, next time will be easier.

For the curious, the web site is

http://home.comcast.net/~gmcdavid

Currently a lot of internal links are disabled–I need to update or remove many pages there, so most of the site is not easily accessible.
