Finished the home computer stuff last week–reinstalled the wireless driver for James’s laptop. Not hard, just some tedious fiddling with Windows. Next project–upgrading my home Linux systems to a 2.6.x kernel. It would be helpful to get my Slackware CD’s back–I lent them to a friend–to do that.
The weekend was completely dominated by the party, but I did managed to get in a workout on Saturday. Just as well–I missed a day on Thursday because of being sick.
We also took down the Christmas tree. The holiday season is over. We got the last ornaments and lights off Friday (12th Night) and took it out Saturday. Just heaved it over the balcony. Mia will use the branches and needles as mulch for the garden. So this Christmas will be absorbed into, and will strengthen, our ongoing lives.
P.S. Mia just remarked that the Holiday season is not really finished until the last confection is finished. We have a lot of goodies left over from the party. Well, IIRC there is a tradition that Candlemas (=Oimelc=Imbolc=Feb. 2) is actually the end of the season. That should time out about right :-)>
